I've just changed my title from 'revolutionary' to 'evolutionary' because Jeff Carreira so brilliantly explained that with revolution the emphasis is about tearing down the old, but with evolution the emphasis is on the creation of the new.  In both cases old structures need to crumble but where is your focus - on creative destruction or creative emergence? That is a shift in consciousness that I think activists need to consider seriously because you can really get caught up in creative destruction with anger in the driver's seat (I know because I have been there) or you can be lining up with and operating from a completely different, authentic and positive part of yourself.

I work in the arts and cultural development and have always been interested in the true nature of creativity.  I'm an art consultant with qualifications in architecture and a post graduate diploma in creative writing. Urban Thresholds, my consultancy, concentrates on cultural planning and public-art coordination work.  I have written articles about public art and my memoir, Coming and Going, was published in 2004.

I first met spiritual teacher and founder of EnlightenNext
Andrew Cohen at a retreat in France in 1999. This meeting was a turning point in my life and the start of a serious, committed, and ongoing inquiry into the purpose and potential of human life and the true nature of creativity in the biggest and deepest context possible, the evolution of consciousness.

I was invited to do teacher training in Evolutionary Enlightenment with Jeff Carreira at the EnlightenNext Centre in Massachusetts, USA in August 2006 and to date have presented courses in Perth and Melbourne, Australia.
